We’re making a few updates to our seller space options this year to help improve event flow and make setup easier for everyone.

Please note: Seller space availability and layout options have changed this year. If you have participated in the past and typically set up in a certain area, please be sure to review the updated space options before purchasing your ticket.

Some areas that were previously available as standard single spaces may now be set up as larger two-space-deep areas.

Over 300 Yard-Sellers and 5,000+ buyers come together for the single biggest event of it’s kind in Maine. If you have items to sell and want to make money, this is the event for you. If you love shopping and buying, this is the event for you. Either way, this event is for you. We look forward to seeing everyone there! Note this is a CASH ONLY event. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. What are my options for selling at the yard sale?

We offer two seller space options:

Standard Seller Space – 12’ x 12’ Cost: $60
A standard 12’ x 12’ seller space, best for traditional yard sale setups with tables, racks, bins, or a small tent. All seller items, displays, and supplies must fit within the assigned space.

Premium Pull-Through Seller Space – 12’ x 24’ Cost: $120
A larger 12’ x 24’ seller space with pull-through access. These premium spaces are limited and are a great option for sellers with trailers, oversized vehicles, larger setups, or extra inventory.

PLEASE NOTE: SELLERS WILL NOT HAVE A CHOICE OF SPACE LOCATION. PLACEMENT WILL BE DETERMINED BY SEVERAL FACTORS INCLUDING TIME OF ARRIVAL, NUMBER & SIZE OF VEHICLES AND NUMBER OF SPACES PURCHASED. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE WITH YOUR ENTIRE PARTY.

2. I’m a retail business and want to sell my product at the yard sale who do I talk to?

Note that there are not Eventbrite tickets available for retail businesses. 

3. When can we set up?

Setup is between 5am and 8am the morning of the event. If you do not arrive to set up by 8am you will forfeit your right to sell and your registration fee. There will be a limited number of Friday Evening Dropoff spots for sale. This pass will allow you to drop off your stuff the night before the event between 5-8pm. Cars will need to exit the selling area by 8pm sharp and the gates will be closed. You will not be permitted to spend the evening on the premises with your stuff.  We will have a security team on site during the overnight hours, but are not liable for stolen or damaged property. Those who drop off on Friday are asked to arrive no later than 8am the next morning, park in designated vendor parking and walk to your selling space.

PLEASE NOTE: SELLERS WILL NOT HAVE A CHOICE OF SPACE LOCATION. PLACEMENT WILL BE DETERMINED BY SEVERAL FACTORS INCLUDING TIME OF ARRIVAL, NUMBER & SIZE OF VEHICLES AND NUMBER OF SPACES PURCHASED. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE WITH YOUR ENTIRE PARTY IF YOU ARE BRINGING MULTIPLE VEHICLES.

4. Will there be food and drinks available for purchase?

Yes.

5. Will there be restrooms?

Yes.

6. Will there be handicap parking?

Yes.

7. What does it cost to enter the yard sale as a customer?

$10 for everyone 13 and older. Children 12 and under are free.

8. Will there be emergency services available?

Yes. Both the Cumberland Fire Department and Police Department will be on the grounds at all times.

9. Where does the registration fee to sell at the yard sale go to?

To cover the expenses and marketing of the yard sale.

10. How many people attend the yard sale as customers?

We average about 5,000 people over a 6 hour period.

11. Are vehicles allowed to stay in selling area during the event?

In most cases, vehicles are only allowed in the selling area during setup and must be moved to seller parking before the event begins.

Limited pull-through spaces are available for sellers who need additional space for trailers, oversized vehicles, or larger setups. Vehicle placement within a pull-through space may vary based on the final event layout and is not guaranteed.

12. Can I use an e-z up tent?

Yes. As long as it fits within your reserved area.

13. What happens if the forecast calls for rain?

This is a rain or shine event.

14. Can I sell anything I want at the yard sale?

No. The sale of firearms, explosives, knives, and other weapons is prohibited. The sale of food items is also prohibited unless special permission is granted by the Cumberland Farmers Club, which handles the food vendors for this event. See below for rules for selling PACKAGED/PREPARED foods like Maple Syrup, Honey, Girl Scout Cookies, etc. The Ultimate Yard Sale reserves the right to prevent the selling of anything we feel is inappropriate for all ages and dangerous to the general public.

15. Can I sell food or drinks at the yard sale?

Only licensed vendors that are approved through the Ultimate Yard Sale can sell food or drink. These items must be pre-packaged and not made on-site. No Sampling. You MUST provide a copy of your state license to Maine’s Ultimate Yard Sale to be approved. Please contact Heath Cole for more information and approval. If you have a food truck, you will need to get the permission of the Cumberland Farmers Club to participate in the Ultimate Yard Sale.

16. Are tables provided to sellers?

No. Sellers must bring their own tables.

17. If I purchase multiple spaces, will they be together?

Yes, regardless of when you purchase your spaces, we will make an effort to ensure your spaces are next to each other the day of the event.
